How do you make sushi tofu?
- Slice your tofu into 8 even strips ~1/4 inch thick.
- Mix your marinated tofu ingredients (except the tofu ) in bowl. Transfer to a flat dish that can fit all your slices of tofu laying flat.
- Lightly oil a non-stick pan and heat over medium heat. Cook the tofu on both sides until it begins to brown, ~3 minutes per side.

What tastes good on tofu?
It tastes best when marinated, just not with oil. Using oil in your marinade will actually create an oil slick on the tofu, meaning the flavors will never absorb. So skip the oil in your marinades and opt for extra vinegar, soy sauce, citrus juice, or stock.
Can you put raw tofu in soup?
I add firm/medium firm tofu to soups and stews near the end of the cooking time/just before serving, enough to warm it up and absorb some flavor from the soup. If you add tofu too early, it will crumble/disintegrate and the soup won’t look very nice.
